The Former State Commander and I were going to host a joint Super Bowl party, but our good buddy Goompa, who owns the Funky Toadstool, said he would have a blow-out at his place. We are having all of the obligatory hunkie food. Yummy periogis from the church on the South Side, kielbasa, sauerkraut, Iron City beer, whiskey, (maybe a couple of boilermakers with those ingredients!) haluski, etc. Even some ham bbq. All good. A wonderful smorgasbord of food!
These cheap rip-off Eat-n-Park smiley cookies taste even better than the originals!
Goompa's pastry chef wanted to put the Steelers hypocycloid symbol on them, but she kept gooning them up. Instead, all of the colors were used to make a smiley! And, yes, that icing is BLACK!!

While this Iowa girl was pulling for the Cardinals and Kurt Warner, I have to admit, being a child of the 70s--the Steelers warm the cockles of my cold, frigid heart because they make me remember that excellent Coke commercial with Mean Joe Green. :-) Yea, Steelers!
